A beach elopement in Portugal offers a dreamy mix of golden sands, rugged cliffs, and the gentle sound of waves crashing along the shore. As the couple exchanges vows by the Atlantic, they’re enveloped in the warm glow of the sun setting over the horizon. The unique Portuguese coastline, with its dramatic rock formations and hidden coves, creates an intimate and breathtaking atmosphere. With soft ocean breezes and the scent of salt in the air, their elopement feels timeless and serene—capturing the essence of Portugal’s natural beauty and romance.
Kosovare and Lukas chose to elope on the cliffs of the Algarve’s West Coast. With breathtaking ocean views stretching across rugged cliffs, the couple exchanges vows with the Atlantic as their backdrop. Afterward, they descend to the tremendous, desert-like beach for an intimate picnic, savoring their wedding cake as waves gently lap the shore. As night falls, they enjoy a magical photoshoot under the stars, the soft glow of moonlight and extra lights creating an unforgettable, cinematic close to their special day.
Alright, let’s go back to the start. I did an amazing photoshoot with her friend a few months before Kosovare reached out to me. She loved the results and recommended me. I was so pumped to learn that Koso and Lucas were planning to elope on the cliffs by my favourite beach, and I was free that day!
We weren’t alone since they wanted to get legally married, so the Portuguese officiant came with a translator. And of course, my husband, who’s the best videographer ever, was there too. Awesome people, great vibes, and an incredible location!
Once the official part was done, we soaked up the amazing sunshine on the cliffs. With the Atlantic Ocean surrounding us on three sides, we listened to the waves and let the wind lift Kosovare’s gorgeous wedding dress.
We walked down to the biggest beach in the Algarve for Golden Hour. Bordeira beach looks more like a desert than a beach. To the west was the sea, and on the other three sides, towering dunes that looked almost black in the sunlight. I absolutely loved Kosovare’s idea to eat the wedding cake right in the middle of this desert-like landscape.
It was Golden Hour. We went for a walk along the shore of a beautiful beach. The light was softened by the sea breeze. Everyone was happy. It was so perfectly planned that it was the ideal moment to relax and tap into our inner child, even our inner rebellious teenager.
Right after sunset was the perfect moment for lantern photos, then we added some cinematic lighting. A great way to wrap up this amazing day.
And finally, I invite you to watch an unconventional video from this amazing day.
